Frequently Asked Questions
Please see below for frequently asked questions.
If your questions are not answered below, please feel free to email adminassistant@elevatedsolutionstherapy.com directly and allow 24-48 hours for a response.
1. What types of therapy do you offer?

-
At Elevated Solutions Therapy, we offer a range of evidence-based therapies to support your mental health journey. Our therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Practices. We also incorporate Polyvagal Theory and Transactional Analysis as foundational principles in our work. Every treatment plan is tailored to meet your individual needs, ensuring that we address your unique challenges and support your long-term well-being.

2. How do I know if therapy is right for me?
-
Therapy can be beneficial if you're struggling with emotional challenges, mental health conditions, or simply seeking personal growth. If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, or eating disorders, therapy is a safe space to explore your feelings, develop coping strategies, and work toward positive change.

3. What can I expect during my first session?
-
During your first session, we'll discuss your goals for therapy and any challenges you're currently facing. We'll also review your personal history and talk about treatment options. This session is all about getting to know you and beginning to build trust.

4. How long does therapy take?
-
The length of therapy varies depending on individual goals, the severity of the issue, and progress over time. Some people may find relief after just a few sessions, while others may benefit from long-term support. We’ll work together to determine the right course of action for you.

5. Is therapy confidential?
-
Yes, confidentiality is a fundamental part of the therapeutic process. What you share in therapy remains private, with a few exceptions required by law (e.g., imminent risk of harm). We'll discuss confidentiality in detail during our first session.

6. Do you offer virtual and in person therapy?
-
At this time, we are only offering virtual therapy sessions to make accessing care more convenient. You can meet with your therapist from the comfort of your home, and we ensure that our online sessions are secure and confidential. For those looking in person, we plan to open our Florida office by Summer 2026.

7. What should I do if I need support between sessions?
-
We can discuss strategies to manage challenges in between sessions. In some cases, we may also recommend additional support, such as resources or activities to help you stay on track. If an emergency arises, please reach out to a crisis helpline or seek immediate care.

8. How do I know if I'm making progress in therapy?
-
Progress in therapy can often be measured by changes in how you’re feeling, your behavior, or your ability to cope with challenges. We’ll set measurable goals together and use assessments to track your progress over time. These tools help us evaluate improvements and make any necessary adjustments. We’ll also regularly check in on your progress. If you ever feel like therapy isn't helping, we encourage open communication so we can adjust the approach to better suit your needs.

9. Do you accept insurance?
-
At this time, we are only in network with Aetna(NY/FL), Cigna (NY/FL), and Anthem NY. We also accept private pay and those with out-of-network benefits. It is the patient's responsibility to contact their insurance company to discuss out-of-network benefit coverage, reimbursement rates, changes in insurance policies, as well as any updated information from their insurance carrier. Monthly superbills will be provided for you by Elevated Solutions Therapy.

10. What is the cancellation policy?
-
At Elevated Solutions Therapy, we require at least 48 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee. This policy helps us maintain availability and consistency for all clients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
